Questions & Answers
* How often should I drain my vinyl liner pool?
Do not do this. If you have a need for liner repairs or cleaning, contact a certified Maintenance Service provider. Removing water from a vinyl liner pool can destroy the liner.
* Can you add Softened Water to a pool?
Soft water basically is the process of removing calcium and other minerals to "soften" the water or make less "hard". To answer the question NO you should not add soft water to your pool because soft water (under 150 PPM Hardness level) is corrosive and can cause damage to your pool shell and equipment. Soft water also easily foams.
* Where can you get BULK WATER to fill a
new pool?
Check with your local pool company. They should be
able to advise you which route is the cheapest of a delivery of water in a
truck, using the fire hydrant (if in an area with this service) or using your
hoses at your home. Your city can give you further information about using the
hydrant and hose rental. etc.
