Water Isn't Cheap
Ocean Blue Pools can help
reduce the cost of maintaining your vinyl liner swimming pool by finding and
fixing costly leaks.
Leak Detection

OCEAN BLUE POOLS uses LeakTrac
These sophisticated, but simple to use devices put a
small electrical charge into the pool water. This charge seeks to make a
connection to the ground. Since the pool liner is a good electrical insulator,
the only ground connections are through penetrations in the liner. The LeakTrac
detects electrical current flow in the water as it seeks these ground
connections, and produces audible signals that lead the operator to the exact
location of the leak. The battery operated LeakTrac 2100 and 2200 pack
conveniently into a foam lined case for easy transportation from job to job.
Principles of the LeakTrac
Electrical current flowing from the input float to the point of ground
connection creates a detectable current path in the water. We call this
detectable current path a "Leak Track." The sophisticated LeakTrac probe detects
these "Leak Tracks" and creates an audible clicking sound that increases in
frequency as the current strength increases. When the probe is aligned with a
"Leak Track," a rapid clicking is produced. However, when the probe is pointed
away from a leak the clicking decreases or stops altogether. As the probe is
moved toward the leak, the "Leak Track" becomes more focused, creating a more
rapid clicking. The operator uses the clicking sounds to effectively pinpoint
low resistance connections from inside the pool to the ground.
